OUR FOUNDER

Possessing a great curiosity of mind, our founder, Kate Payne, is continually driven to learn, understand and demystify the inner workings of business. What started off as a keen interest at the tender age of 7 has become an enduring passion.

"Every opportunity I get to learn how and why some businesses stand the test of time where others fail… sometimes rapidly, sometimes suddenly after a long period of success, sometimes slowly declining into oblivion… has been seized in my endless pursuit of and thirst for knowledge. Willingly entering the world of work at 14, I've progressed from the most junior positions all the way up the proverbial career ladder to senior management and business ownership. This has presented  me with exceptional opportunities to expand my deeply analytical and inquiring mind. Where sometimes being an employee has been invaluable, at other times being an entrepreneur has provided immeasurable insight."

"Not satisfied with practical experience alone, I've combined rigorous academic education (costing £hundreds of thousands) with real-world experiences (often at the same time) to validate the depth of knowledge and understanding I've attained over several decades. Trained by some of the best world-class institutions, my conscientious scholarly achievements have substantiated my comprehension of the business world from a broad range of perspectives. Of the many officially recognised qualifications awarded, the most notable include fellowship of a highly regarded global professional accountancy qualification and an Ashridge Executive Masters Degree in Business Administration with Distinction (Ash EMBA Dist)."
